I have been obsessed with the iced nonfat chai latte from Starbucks. I went into Starbucks this morning to get a gift certificate and was very strong and abstained from purchasing one. However, I was chatting with the gal working there (not sure if she was officially a "barrister" or not) and I was telling her how I much I have been enjoying them. She said that she likes them too. Then she said how she likes to add a shot of vanilla to hers....... Well, what do you think I have been thinking about since then??? I'm going to have to get one tomorrow!

You can totally make these things at home! Starbuck's uses Tazo chai (last I checked), and to make one just pour half chai/half milk of choice (skim is what they tend to use) over ice, shake and enjoy. It costs a fraction of what you get charged there.
Once was a "barrister" myself, and I made this one all the time at the little coffee shop I worked at.

I'm so glad I don't like coffee and haven't gotten sucked into all the fancy drinks at Starbucks. Everything sounds so good but there are so many choices...
I'm trying to resist the urge to try the new mint frapuccino. Maybe I'll look up the fat content and that will cure my desire. ;-)
I'm with Lindsay! I make mine at home (same obsession as you....) although now I may have to try it with a shot of vanilla, too.

Mmmmmmmmm. I'm eating healthier lately and am getting quite tired of the black coffee,no sugar, no cream. I'll definitely try this! Thanks for the tip!
OH, YUM. Must have one in the morning... We are leaving in the AM for the beach... Better be a Starbucks on the way or the Mister is gonna get snippy when he has to drive 15 miles in the other direction to find one!

Lindsay - I'm totally going to try and do it myself. I was in a hurry in the store yesterday and very quickly glanced at the tea section and only found Tazo tea in tea bags. I'm assuming I'll need loose tea to make it......
I love these too! A nice break from the iced coffee lattes. You can get the pre-made chai in the yellow box (usually near the teas, etc.). It is already brewed and sweetened perfectly.
